You need to put effort into a relationship.
I mean any relationship. Whether it be lovers, friends, or family, if you put no effort into it, the relationship will eventually fall apart.
And to add onto this; a relationship is between two people. There’s no need to butt into other people’s business unless invited to.

Marks my coming back to Tumblr after a long, well-spent winter break.
Hello, Tumblr. You don’t quite seem to catch my attention as you once did… But maybe that will change as school starts up once again.
Can’t wait to start the next quarter. Finally starting to get a bit anxious. What will be in store for the next three months? Hopefully all will be well.

Friendships were made.
I live a life filled with much disappointment.
But that’s what’s called for by having high expectations.
You can’t tone it down… because, well, that’d be degrading.
Sex.
Why do we need it?
Let’s list those reasons out:
- Fun
- Reproduction
- Relationships
- Etc. Etc.
Now those are just a few reasons why and I’m sure there are plenty of others reasons you might thing of. There has been much discussion over the evolutionary point of view in regards to sex. Some scientists believe that men are genetically hardwired to go around and have sex with every single female they see. Now although that might be true, that doesn’t give a man an excuse to go around and have sex with every single female he sees, especially if he’s in a relationship.
It’s true, people will look at someone and might be attracted to them whilst in a relationship. There’s no shame in that. You might see someone other than your significant other and find them sexy and that is okay. There’s plenty of taboo about how a guy will act around a girl especially when she says the phrase, “Oh that girl is hot.” Most guys will sit there in silence because that’s a dangerous path to tread on. If we say, “Yeah she is!” then the female might either explode at you for checking out some other lady or she might like it that you agree with her opinion. In an ideal world, it should be okay for you to agree with her, because well, if she said so then it must be true, as long as you two can communicate openly about these things.
While it may be okay for you to check out other members of the opposite sex, it is not okay for you to act upon it. That’s where most of the problems in the relationship arise. It’s not the fact that you checked that other person out, it’s the fact that you checked him/her out and decided to pursue it. Upon entering a relationship, you have engaged yourself in a compromise between the wants and needs of two, count it, two people. Your desires, wants, and needs are no longer your own, but part of a working unit. If you should decide to go and do your own thing without any communication, then that unit will fail.
Just remember that biological hardwiring is no excuse for your actions. We as a species developed larger frontal lobes to be able to think for ourselves and consciously make the choices and decisions that shape us as individuals. Think with your brain and not with your head, if you know what I’m sayin’.
